# akua pkg sign

> Produce a cosign signature sidecar for a packed tarball

```sh theme={null}
akua pkg sign [flags]
```

| Flag | Type | Description |
| - | - | - |
| `--tarball` | string | Pre-packed tarball to sign |
| `--ref` | string | Repository it will be pushed to (`oci://<registry>/<repo>`) |
| `--tag` | string | Tag it will be pushed under |
| `--key` | string | PEM PKCS#8 P-256 private key; defaults to akua.toml \[signing].cosign\_private\_key |
| `--workspace` | string | Workspace root containing akua.toml |
| `--out` | string | Sidecar path; defaults to \<tarball>.akuasig |
